The Danish Council for Independent Research decided to fund a seven projects at DTU Nanotech to the tune of $4 million (DKK 21 million).
Erik Vilain Thomsen received $465,000 (DKK 2.4 million) a project done in collaboration with Rigshospitalet called: NIRS systems for tissue oximetry.
Winnie Edith Svendsen received $465,000 (DKK 2.4 million) for the project: Nano-karyotyping: application of Microsystems and nanotechnology in the cytogenetic diagnosis of haamatological malignancies, done in collaboration with Kennedy Centeret.
Noemi Rozlosnik received $465,000 (DKK 2.4 million) for the project, she is doing in collaboration with Statens Serum Institut: All-polymer microdevice for early detection of Alzheimer's disease.
Martin Dufva received $988,000 (DKK 5.1 million( for his project called: Construction of nanomachines for kinetic studies of gene activity in living cells.
Niels Bent Larsen received $1 million (DKK 5.3 million) for his project called: Microshaping hydrogels and their chemistry in 3D for optimizing and validating immune cell migration.
The Danish Council for Independent Research/Technology and Production Sciences also funds individual postdoc projects. Dirch Hjorth Petersen received $678,000 (DKK 3.5) million for his project called: MECNANO – Methods for Electrical Characterization of Nanomaterials.
