New Citroen C4 CROSSER
The Citroen C4 AIRCROSS has been introduced featuring contemporary styling and technological innovation, alongside some of the lowest CO2 emissions in the segment.
The new Citroen C4 AIRCROSS will be launched in Europe during the first half of 2012, and will be available in two and four-wheel drive versions.
The design of the Citroen C4 AIRCROSS features sculpted horizontal lines and aerodynamic vents of the front end, accentuating the compact appearance. The bonnet contours - which are visible from the driver's seat - the wide wheel arches and reduced front and rear overhangs suggest rugged and robustness.
The LED lights at the front are integrated into vertical vents. The Hypnos concept car provided the inspiration for the large 18 inch wheels and rear lights, which have been reworked to optimise air flow and reduce CO2 emissions. An inverted shark fin at the rear is also reminiscent of the Hypnos concept, and features a chrome compass motif at the tip, indicating the Citroen C4 AIRCROSS is a part of the Citroen SUV family.
A four wheel transmission system offers optimal handling in all conditions, and allows the car to be driven permanently in four wheel drive mode, with torque distributed between front and rear wheels.
A control is located behind the gear lever enabling the driver to manually select one of three transmission modes:
- 2WD - for optimal fuel consumption
- 4WD - which automatically distributes the torque between the front and rear axles
- 'Lock' - which provides maximum traction in severe conditions.
The Citroen C4 AIRCROSS is powered by the HDi 110 engine with a 6 speed manual gearbox.
Dimensions of the Citroen C4 AIRCROSS are: 4.34m long, 1.80m wide, 1.63m high - with a 10.6m turning circle. The bootspace offers 442 litres of space.
A raised driving position provides the driver with a clear view of the road. A specially developed chassis and suspension help to deliver both a comfortable ride and road handling. Occupants benefit from a panoramic glass sunroof to illuminate the cabin during the day, and at night, integrated LEDs.
Standard specification for the Citroen C4 AIRCROSS includes GPS navigation with touch screen, a reversing camera and USB/Bluetooth connectivity for portable audio players.
