Limited Edition Citroen DS3 Racing Shoe
A collaboration between Citroen and fashion brand Gio-Gio has seen the creation of a limited edition shoe based on the Citroen DS3 Racing.
The high-top shoe, named DS3 Racing Shoe by Gio-Gio, is inspired by the Citroen DS3's high quality materials and specific visual styling, for instance the 18 inch alloy wheels and sporty orange grille. The shoes are finished in the black and orange colour scheme of the Citroen DS3, using a black tumbled full grain leather with a waxy finish. The soft leather lining, foam padded tongue and flexible rubberised sole add to the comfort of the shoe, to flex with the foot when driving.
As found the on the leather seats of the Citroen DS3, the collar of the shoe features a combination of black leather and black mesh, and the sole pattern is a re-interpretation of the curves in the alloy wheels and grid pattern on the front of the car. The lace tips are Gio-Gio branded, available in the choice of two colours.
The DS3 Racing Shoe by Gio-Gio is a limited edition, with 100 examples being produced, with a number available for sale with an RRP of £120 on Gio-Gio's website and at at a pop-up store in East London, open between 13th and 15th September 2011. On 14th September, the store will host a party with performances from some of the hottest music acts.
