The new BMW i brand trailer has been created by Hollywood composer Abel Korzeniowski, who lives in Los Angeles. Abel is know for his music in Tom Ford's directing debut 'A Single Man', for which he received a Golden Globe nomination. In the first BMW i brand trailer the piece "Swimming" from that film can be heard.
Currently, Abel is writing the score for Madonna's new film 'W.E.', which will premiere at the Venice Biennale in September 2011. His compositions have a unique style, with a blend between classical orchestra, electronic sounds and modern ambient music.
"The whole BMW i concept really inspired me. It's not just about a car, it's a new concept for living - how we use our resources, how we use things," explained Abel Korzeniowski. "You get the impression of a new but familiar technology, not a classic invention, but a very human technology. Just like the message 'Born Electric'".
The composition for the BMW i film was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London with a full orchestra. Cristoph Deja of Lauterbach directed the trailer.
