The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials, running from 1st to 4th September 2011, will see more than 60 Land Rover vehicles supporting the event. This year, the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is celebrating a half century of competition, with the first event having taken place in 1961. Burghley has a long standing association with Land Rover, who is the title sponsor of the event for the seventh year.

Land Rover UK Managing Director Colin Green said: "Land Rover has a great relationship with Burghley and we are excited to be a part of the anniversary celebrations for the event's unique 50-year achievement.

"The occasion gives us a superb opportunity to showcase our vehicles in a setting that perfectly reflects important aspects of our brand, and to demonstrate our on-going support for equestrian sports and countryside pursuits. It also allows us to reveal to thousands of spectators the contemporary design, quality and technical sophistication that help define Land Rover today, not least in the outstanding new Range Rover Evoque."

Last year, the Land Rover announced a further three-year title sponsorship agreement, continuing through to the 2013 trials. This year, Land Rover owners visiting Burghley will be able to park in a dedicated forward Land Rover car park, located close to the lake.

The Land Rover perpetual Challenge Trophy will once again be presented to the winning owner, with awards also available for the highest placed British rider competing at the event for the first time and one for the rider of the winning horse.
