The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) have released official statistics which show that SEAT's July 2011 market share rose to 2.07 per cent, which is an all time best for the Brand in a single month and up 1.88 per cent from July 2010.
Another all time best were SEAT's year-to-date sales, which totalled 21,228 new cars.
Whilst the UK market has dropped nearly seven per cent so far this year, SEAT's sales have grown 6.7 per cent compared to the same seven month period in 2010.
The SEAT Ibiza and Leon have seen the biggest sales numbers, encompassing all models from the Ecomotive through to the Fr and Cupra versions.
Peter Wyhinny, Managing Director of SEAT UK said: "I'm very pleased to see such a strong performance in July, which comes on the back of other significant records this year.
"It's now very obvious that our dynamic, stylish and great value cars are making an increasing impact here. Importantly, too, our dealer network is growing while our increased marketing activities around such high profile events as the UEFA Europa League are putting the SEAT Brand in front of an audience of millions."
He added: "The backdrop of a UK new car market down almost seven per cent this year only goes to show that SEAT's compelling offers on cars like the Ibiza Copa and Leon Copa are connecting more powerfully than ever with buyers who, above all, want maximum value for money."
