Audi Urban Concept Spyder
The Audi urban concept sportback will now be joined by a Spyder version, adding open-air driving to the experience. Both 1+1 seat Audi urban concepts will make an appearance at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show between 17th and 25th September.
Both Audi urban concepts feature forward-urging lines and free standing 21 inch wheels complete with protective surrounding plates with integrated LED blinking lights. The Audi urban concept Spyder features a low continuous window area and upwards opening doors.
The two seats are are slightly staggered and underpinned by carbon fibre-reinforced polymer (CFRP). All of the Audi urban concept controls and materials are ultra-lightweight.
Two lithium-ion battery-powered e-tron electric motors power the Audi urban concept for powerful acceleration.
