Fiat 500 TwinAir
The Fiat 500 TwinAir - powered by the 0.9 litre TwinAir - on sale in the UK for exactly one year, has been been presented with the 2011 GreenFleet Awards City Car Manufacturer of the Year award, thanks to its popularity, environmental credentials and low fuel consumption.
The engine option was launched last October before being introduced as a Fiat 500 model in its own right in June 2011. The TwinAir range has a sporty appearance with black alloys, burnished metal effects on the dashboard and front and rear mouldings, spoiler, chrome exhaust pipe and sports seats.
The TwinAir engine achieves 0-62mph in 11 seconds on to a maximum speed of 108mph. CO2 emissions are 95g/km and 68.9mpg on the combined cycle.
"Although a closely fought category again this year, the Fiat 500 TwinAir, with its low consumption, two-cylinder, clean petrol engine, was the resounding choice for the City Car Manufacturer of the Year Award," said Colin Boyton, GreenFleet Marketing Manager. "Even though it is already an extremely popular choice out there, I know we will be seeing many more take to the roads over the next year, as businesses look for a maximum return on their fleet investment. Well done Fiat, worthy winners."
The Fiat 500 TwinAir range starts at £11,600 OTR for the 0.9 TwinAir, up to to £15,500 OTR for the convertible 500C TwinAir Lounge.
