SEAT IBL Concept
The SEAT IBL concept car will debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, communicating SEAT's design language, extended to a sports saloon. The SEAT IBL features a clean minimal exterior with an innovative interior.
The SEAT IBL has a wheelbase of 2.71 metres with an overall length of 4.67 metres, sitting in the full-size saloon category. The concept features short front and rear overhangs.
The headlamps are LED and designed as sharp strokes for a precise appearance. Individual segments of the light provide the various lighting functions, from main beam with variable illumination, to indicators and daytime running lights.
The front end features low air intakes frames with chrome, reminiscent of an electronic circuit board, a subtle connection to the zero local emissions offered by the SEAT IBL.
The interior of the SEAT IBL is designed under the philosophy: clean, minimized to the essential, exceptionally precise and premium in its look-and-feel. The interior features light, matte leather on surfaces, with contrasting trim elements in the same red as the exterior paintwork. The dashboard appears to hang in mid-air, further adding to an overall impression of lightness.
The cockpit is orientated towards the driver, with a one piece, curved glass surface which covers the entire instrument panel. A fully digital main display is situated behind the steering wheel which can be programmed by the driver. Information can either be provided with classic analogue dials or as a digital readout.
