Volvo P1800
The Footman James Classic Motor Show, taking place on 11th - 13th November 2011 at the NEC in Birmingham will be attended by Volvo Cars Heritage and Volvo Owners Club (UK).
The event will see the last of the Volvo P1800 50th anniversary activities and the Grand Finale of the 2011 Volvo Cars Heritage event season.
The top attraction at the Volvo Cars Heritage stand will be the 1961 Volvo P1800 powered by an original 2.5 litre DOHC four-cylinder Aston Martin prototype engine, fitted to the car at the Aston factory for test purposes. The project was actually never finalised, however the test car survived, and today is run by Me Beat Roos of Roos Engineering in Switzerland.
The P958-X1 prototype will also be appearing at the show with its designer and creator Pelle Petterson.
The Volvo Cars Heritage stand will also feature the ST1, one-owner Jensen-built P1800 and an 1800S in rally guise alongside a collection of Volvo coupes.
