New Vauxhall Zafira Tourer

As the all new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer makes its world premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, Vauxhall has confirmed the entry level price to be £21,000, more than £1200 cheaper than its key rival, the Ford Focus.

The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer ES 1.8 (140PS) standard equipment includes air conditioning, DAB, cruise control, MP3/Aux In connections, 6 airbags, 7-speaker sound system, active headrests, and Flex7 seating.

Moving up through the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer range above the ES will be Exclusiv, SRi, SE and Elite trims.

The design of the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer differs only slightly from the Geneva concept, with Mark Adams' 'Sculptural artistry meets technical precision' mantra continuing through the look of all new Vauxhall products.

Vauxhall's Flex7 seating system has evolved for the new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, to provide greater levels of flexibility, innovation and comfort. Further improvements include material quality, increased cabin space and an airy cabin.

A new chassis with key components from the Insignia feature in the Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, alongside a longer wheelbase, wider tracks and a 190mm increase in overall length help to improve ride comfort. The FlexRide adaptive damping system is available as an option.

Safety is a main focus in the new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, with a multitude of driver-assist systems making their first appearance. Technologies include: Traffic Sign Recognition, Side Blind Spot Alert and Advance Park Assist – which helps drivers find an adequate parking space and guides them in to it.

A 1.4 Turbo petrol and a 2.0 CDTi diesel (with three outputs, including a 119g ecoFLEX version) will be available for the new Vauxhall Zafira Tourer, alongside a 1.8 litre petrol unit available in either 110PS or 165PS options.
