New Renault Twingo

The new Renault Twingo is on show at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and is the first production car to feature design cues taken from recent concept cars.

On sale in early 2012, the new Renault Twingo features a bigger and more upright Renault diamond on the front, with a black background to highlight the badge.

The fog lights and round sidelights are now positioned next to the grille, with headlight 'eyelids' the enhance the new Renault Twingo's appearance.

Original new colours, Fuchsia and Bermuda Blue, will be available for the first time, bringing with them light-hearted fun associated with city cars. Also available will be an electrically operated fabric sunroof.

The rear of the new Renault Twingo sees new lights in addition to the main cluster, enhancing the lines and echoing the front end. The rear bumper is more round and is joined by a more curved form for the lower part of the tailgate. 17 alloy wheel and wheel trim options are available.

For the interior, the Renault Twingo sees upholstery options, each with their own personality with contrasting edging. All stitching, including the leather or TEP panels are coordinated.

The new Renault Twingo offers 22cm of knee room, which puts it amongst the best in the segment. The rear 50/50 split seats are independently sliding. The boot capacity can be extended from 230 to 959dm3.

The new Renault Twingo is available with the 1.2 TCe 100hp engine, offering peak torque of 155Nm with 55.4mpg on the combined cycle and 119g/km CO2 emissions.
