New Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition

The 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show will play host to new Aston Martin Carbon Edition DBS sports cars.

The 2011 Aston martin DBS Carbon Edition follows the success of the DBS Carbon black which was introduced in 2009, and will be available in two new colours, Flame Orange and Ceramic Grey, as well as carbon Black. Each DBS will be treated to Aston Martin's unique paint process which sees seven layers of paint and a 25 hour hand flat-and-polish finish to finish the paintwork in a glass veneer. The car can also be specified with a satin lacquer paint finish for the first time.

The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition will feature 10 spoke gloss black diamond turned wheels with an optional reversed diamond turned or full gloss black finish. As standard, the brake callipers are finished in black, with yellow, orange, red or grey available as an option. Exterior features include a warm black grille, carbon fibre mirror heads, carbon rear lamp in-fills and smoked rear lights.

For the interior, the leather is available in either obsidian black or maranello orange semi aniline leather. The interior takes more than 70 man hours to hand stitch and finish.

The headlining of the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition is quilted in leather. The fascia is carbon fibre with a carbon weave positioned by hand to follow the form of the dashboard.

The Touchtronic II automatic gearbox paddles are a magnesium alloy tipped with carbon fibre. A special sill plaque is also carbon fibre, and features a laser etched metal inlay.

Standard features of the Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition includes a Garmin satellite navigation system and Beam blade windscreen wipers which help to reduce wind noise and give a cleaner wipe even at high speeds.

The Aston Martin DBS Carbon Edition has a starting price of £186,583 for the coupe and £196,581 for the Volante. Customer deliveries are expected to commence in the first quarter of 2012.
