Figures released for September 2011 show that Kia sold a total of 217,736 units, a 16.3 per cent increase year on year.
For September, Kia saw year on year increases in regions including China (45.9 per cent), North America (20.6 per cent) and Europe (20.6 per cent). In Kia's home market of Korea, sales grew 4.4 per cent year on year.
Through the first nine months of 2011, Kia's global sales increased 18.2 per cent, totalling 1,827,622 units. The biggest gains were seen in North America, with 35 per cent. China saw 27.1 per cent, 18.9 per cent in Europe, 9.6 per cent in general markets and 4.4 per cent on Korea.
