Renault Twizy
A third trim level for the Renault Twizy has be announced. Colour sits between the previously announced Urban and Technic levels and has a starting price of £6,950, £260 more than the Renault Twizy Urban and £450 under the starting price of the top of the range Technic model.
The Renault Twizy Colour will be available with white body work and a choice of Urban Blue, Ivy Green of Flame Orange roof and side panels. Black body work with orange panels will also be available.
The colours are also carried through to the Renault Twizy's interior, with the upholstery and glovebox being specified for colour coordination. Diamond effect alloy wheels can also be colour-matched and cost £350. Half scissor doors - also colour coordinated - are priced at £455.
Standard equipment on the Renault Twizy includes 13-inch wheels, two gloveboxes - one lockable- 3 metre charging cable, heated tinted windscreen, Z.E. onboard computer and dashboard with econometer and battery consumption display. Safety and security features include three-point seatbelt in the front with additional lateral restraint, three-point seatbelt in the rear, front airbag and immobiliser and steering lock.
The Renault Twizy weighs in at 450kg and has 57Nm of instant torque available. It has a 50mph top speed and a range of up to 60 miles on a full charge, which takes three and a half hours.
The Renault Twizy will be available in the UK from March 2012 with a starting price of £6690, with monthly battery hire of £40 based on a three year contract with an annual mileage of 4500 miles.
