Prince Henry With The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer
Over 207,000 owners have benefitted from Vauxhall's Lifetime Warranty since its launch in August 2010, providing first registered keepers of a new Vauxhall with no upper time limit on their warranty up to 100,000 miles.
To celebrate Lifetime warranty's first anniversary, Vauxhall is trying to find the oldest road legal car in the UK to sport the Griffin badge that has covered less than 100,000 miles and has been owned by one person from the date of first registration.
All Vauxhalls qualify, including the Prince Henry, had it not out-survived its original owner, as it has covered just over 50,000 miles in the last 100 years.
To enter a Vauxhall, a form can be filled in online, submitting data including the model, current mileage, when it was purchased and from what dealer. Entries have to be received before 16th October 2011 and will be subject to verification. The owner of the winning car will receive a half day performance driving course in the 325hp Vauxhall Insignia VXR.
"There's huge loyalty among our owners," said Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall's Managing Director. "And for average-mileage customers who plan to keep their new Vauxhalls for the medium to long term, Lifetime Warranty is a valuable and reassuring asset for as long as they own the car. No other manufacturer has been able to offer such complete peace of mind for their customers."
